Working with the energies of the moon cycles has been something that has supported me massively over the years. I use this time to harness potent energy and also as a monthly check in and reflection point to help me stay aligned and in my truth.
As a Pisces Sun, Cancer Moon and Scorpio Rising (only just found this out recently), it makes sense I am massively affected by the moon with all these watery signs in my chart.
I have created this ritual for the Full moon for you weaving in the beautiful Louisa B Apothecary New Moon Gift Set . I was gifted this set from Louise and it is amazing. Although this gift set has been crafted for the new moon you can use these products to support you at both full moon and new moon. But because I can't wait to use them and we have the full moon on Monday 12th May and it is known as the flower moon I think the timing is perfect.
Creating ritual in our lives and sacred moments really enhances our days, weeks and months.
A Flower Moon Full Moon Ritual for Releasing and Renewal
This full moon, the Flower Moon symbolises a time of full bloom, emotional clarity, and intentional release. Named after the abundance of wildflowers blossoming during May, the Flower Moon invites us to reflect on what has come to fruition and what we are ready to let go of.
In this ritual, we’ll harness the energy of the full moon to centre ourselves through meditation, clear stagnant energy, set heartfelt intentions, and reconnect with our personal cycles of growth. You’ll need a few simple tools: a candle, an energy-cleansing spray, an essential oil, your journal, and your willingness to show up for yourself.

Begin by creating a sacred space where you won’t be disturbed. Spray your energy cleansing mist around your body and the room. As you do, say aloud:
"I clear this space with love and light. I release what no longer serves me."
Let the space feel safe, calm, and ready for ritual.
Light your candle to open your sacred space.
Apply a drop of essential oil to your pulse points, wrists, neck, over your heart and third eye. Inhale deeply, feeling the scent calm and centre you. Take three slow breaths, grounding yourself in the present moment.

Full Moon Meditation; The Lake of Transformation
The full moon is a time of release, shedding and realignment. Through this meditation we will move into the emotional waters of transformation and allow ourselves to feel deep healing and letting go.
Slow down, find somewhere relaxing and get ready to drop into a sacred space of full moon energy.
Breathing slowly, steadily. In for 3 and out for 6. Using the exhale to begin the release. Extending the exhale to allow the letting go. In for 3 and out for 6. Continuing to breathe in this way.
Allowing yourself to relax. Repeating the word release in your mind as you allow yourself to soften and drop.
From this space of relaxation we will head on a sacred journey of transformation, acceptance and alignment. You head along a moonlit path into the forest. The moon is so bright and golden above you that she illuminates your way. Tall pine trees, and spruce fill the forest as you walk.
With each step you fall into a deeper connection to self. The stillness and silence allowing you to hear and feel clearly. An opportunity for inner reflection. You take this alone time to allow yourself to reflect on the past month.
What emotions are arising within you? (pause)
What have you achieved in this month? (pause)
What has stood in your way? (pause)
You begin to see a lake up ahead reflecting through the trees. You walk towards the water and sit by the edge. The golden moon reflecting on the surface. The occasional ripple as insect glides over the water.
You stare at the water, the reflection of the moon. Then you close your eyes. You sit and breathe. You feel the portal or your heart and your intuition begin to open. This inner temple within you expands as you breathe, your heartspace bathed in golden moonlight. You place your hands on your heart and tune in.
You ask to be shown where you have held yourself back?
What are these emotions trying to tell you?
What nudges have you received?
Where have you strayed from your path and dreams?
You allow the thoughts, insights, emotions to flood into your awareness. Breathing deeply, allowing, witnessing.
Allow the moons magnetic energy and pull to illuminate and shine light on anything holding you back, weighing you down.
Breathe and feel into your heart space. Allow your shoulders to drop. Your body to relax and receive the insight you need.
(PAUSE)
You begin to hear the sounds of the forest. You slowly open your eyes and watch the moon's reflection on the lake. You feel guided to swim. You take off your clothes and as you do its is like each item is a shedding, a letting go of what is holding you back.
You slowly enter the water. A sacred moonbath just for you. You move through the water allowing the water to cleanse away the remains of stagnant energy.
The water cleanses, clears and heals. You feel like you can understand yourself more clearly now the heaviness is leaving you.
Every stroke you swim, shedding, lightening the load on your body, mind and soul. Releasing fear, self doubt, procrastination. The emotions moving to a more balanced state as you honour your intuition.
You swim towards the waters edge and climb out, noticing a soft fluffy robe waiting for you. You place this robe on. It feels comforting, soothing and relaxing. You feel lighter, more aligned and free.
No need to race ahead, just a gentle course correct, align and tune in.
You sit, wrapped in your robe. Reflecting, integrating your experience. A deeper understanding of self.
You watch the moonlight glisten on the water. Breathing deeply, freely and relaxed.
You will slowly be guided back to this moment. Take time to stretch, process. Be gentle with yourself at this time. No haste, just awareness and compassion. Guiding yourself back into the present moment, Into your body and being. All is well.
Open your journal and write freely in response to the following prompts:
Let your answers flow without judgment. This is a space for honesty, clarity, and self-connection.
Pick 3 affirmations (you can create your own based on your intentions and from your journaling.) and write them out. Pop your essential oil in your palm, take an inhale then, repeat each one three times. You may wish to pop it in a bit of paper and place under a glass of water overnight under the light of the moon. I usually do this in a jar with a lid. Then either drink this water and absorb the energy of the affirmation or use to clean your alter or water your plants.
Re-read what you’ve written, taking note of anything that stands out. Blow out your candle and thank yourself and the moon for this sacred time. Whisper to yourself:
"I honor the fullness of the moon, the fullness of my being, and the beauty of becoming and blooming."
